The Yamba River Markets is run by Live Prawn Productions, a local non-profit association. We have a market policy that aims to support stallholders who make
or grow all they sell and reside in the Clarence Valley whilst also welcoming
new-comers from further away.

The new Yamba River Markets are now at Ford Park in the Yamba CBD and are organised as an "event" rather than as an "outdoor shopping centre". All residents
& visitors alike are encouraged to stay and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

After expenses, all market profits are reinvested into community cultural activities
& towards the 2008 Surfing The Coldstream Arts/Fringe Festival.

GENERAL POINTS OF INTEREST
  • The Yamba River Markets are held on each 4th Sunday of the month.
  • There is NO Public Parking on Ford Park.
  • There is a Disabled "drop off/pick-up" area which can be accessed off Wooli Street and down the bottom of the laneway running past the Yamba Library & the Community Hall into the rear of the markets. Disabled parking is available in the Community Hall car park.
  • Visitors to Yamba may park in the Yamba Marina Car Park (on the left on Yamba Road before the Angourie Rd roundabout) and then enjoy a leisurely 300m walk along the river to the markets.
  • There is also plenty of parking along Harbour & River Streets and in the Yamba Bowling Club car park (for members & their guests).
  • Please do not park in front of resident driveways on Claude, Bent or Wooli Street
STALLHOLDER INFO.
  • Only stallholder & market staff/volunteer vehicles are allowed on Ford Park.
  • On arrival stallholders need to go to the corner of River St and Coldstream St
    (opposite the Yamba Skate Park) with their stall fee payment to receive their market receipt in order to gain access to the market site.
  • No vehicles are allowed on Ford Park before 6:30am and once the market starts at 9:00am.
  • No vehicle traffic is permitted on Ford Park during the market hours between 9:00am and 2:00pm (except for emergency vehicles).
  • Stall holders have between 2:00pm and 4:00pm to pack up their sites and remove their vehicles from Ford Park.
  • There is a NO PLASTIC BAGS policy for the Yamba River Market. Please
    be aware of this and make use of more environmentally friendly packaging to package your goods (eg. newspapers/paper bags/etc).
  • Finally please note that these new regulations were a result of meetings between the Clarence Valley Council, the Dept of lands and local nearby residents. Like you we are learning to live with them.
